A Day in the Life of Charlotte Doyle
Charlotte Doyle is a very rich little girl. Her father had sent her to London to go to school. Charlotte was on her way back home when she was suddenly informed that she would not be taking a luxury cruise ship but instead one of her father's exporting/importing cargo ship. She was very disappointed and did not fully accept the idea. As Charlotte was approaching the ship, the captain came out of his quarters to welcome her. The captain was very nicely dressed and looked like he knew fashion. Charlotte became attached to the captain but did not realize this would be her biggest mistake. What she was soon to find out was that everyone of the crew members hated the captain and had only signed up to work for him again was to have their revenge. A few weeks into the trip back home, one of the crew members had given Charlotte a pocket knife. The next day the ship goes into a nasty storm in which Charlotte must climb up to the crow's nest and see if she can identify the end of the storm. While she was climbing up her knife had fallen out of her pocket and landed into the first mates back, or so she thinks. After the storm had passed and everyone had seen the first mates body laying on the starboard with the distinctive pocket knife Charlotte was given plunged into his back. One of the friends Charlotte had made, the Cook, had taken the blame for stabbing and killing the mate and the Cook was whipped and beaten to death. The crew had a funeral ceremony for him and Charlotte saw the crew throw what seemed to be the Cook's body off the ship. Charlotte had gone to the captain and argued that it was her fault and for that the captain had sentenced her to a week in the brig. The brig was very dark, damp and wet. The brig was so dark that a candle light wouldn't even be enough light to see your own hands. But Charlotte had seen something. She was sure of it, she had seen a shadow figure move in the dark abyss of the brig. She would yell and ask questions. No response. Until one day when the figure had finally appeared itself. It was the Cook. Back from the dead and to life again. Charlotte was dumbfounded but the Cook explained that they had faked the Cook's death so that when the opportunity had presented itself the Cook could emerge and finish off the captain once and for all. The perfect storm had finally attacked the ship with all of its might. The crew was called to the deck so that they can receive their instructions from the captain. Once the crew knew what they were to do they started to formulate their plan. Whether it was sabotaging the mast or secretly freeing the Cook. The one thing that the crew did not expect was a storm that would be to great for them to not fight back. The storm had grown into what seemed to be a hurricane. Having to prepare the ship and protecting it from cap-sizing or sinking the crew's plan was ruined. That is until Charlotte had secretly gone into the captain's quarters to find out what really was going on. When she had come back to the deck the captain was shouting instructions and Charlotte approached him. The two had began to fight for their lives as it was Charlotte vs. captain vs. weather. Charlotte eventually worked the captain out towards the end of the boat and in one big wave the captain was gone. The crew rejoiced and Charlotte was sent home. She was unfortunately not happy here but she realized her destiny was to be with the crew and the ship and so she had gone out in the night and back to the ship.

The Art of Dragons or The Art of Gears?
So I was thinking about doing my "Art of" project about Dragons. You know comparing all kinds of dragons from literature. But now I'm thinking I am going to have to change it to something a little more familiar to me. The Art of Gears. Gears of War that is. I figured writing about the final levels in all 3 video games would be so much easier than comparing dragons. Writing about the scenes, objectives, and a little background on the Locust leaders. The very first Gears of War had a final stage on a train and you had to defeat a Kryll covered RAAM. Gears of War 2 had a final stage of having to disable Skorge with your chainsaw lancer then riding Reavers to chase and kill Skorge. With the newest Gears of War 3 you have to dive your way into the base of Azura and fight your way up to the tower so that you can cast away Queen Myrrah and prevent the imulsion from spreading.

New Origins
Imagine yourself sitting at a bar enjoying your drink. A big biker thug walks in, guns hot and heavy with lead. We have all seen this in the movies but wait there is more. Behind him comes a little tike about half his weight and a foot shorter. He comes and plops down right next to you. You look over at him and he looks like the type of person you find sitting in a 4x4 office all day looking up sports scores and fantasizing about killing his boss. He looks at you and politely says "Hello." You think to yourself 'Did he just talk to me?' You two go on to have a long conversation and at the end you realize that this little man is nothing more than a competitor waiting for a break. Guess who gets to give it to him. You. You offer him the way out but you make one request; you have to punch him in the face as hard as you can. He oddly agrees but he doesn't want to do it in front of the crowd so you comply to take it outside. He slugs you in the face and you feel your jaw go through your head. He asks if you are alright. Thinking to yourself 'Did he really just ask if I was alright? Does he not think I can take a hit from a powderpuff?' "My turn!" you scream at the top of your lungs before hitting him so hard with a right hook that he falls down so hard the car alarm starts blaring. Think about what has just happened. You and another man you just met had found a way to escape the real world of dying and pain. You have found a safe-haven in modern day fighting. This would continue for about a week. That is until you two start to form a crowd and decide to take it inside. What you two created is not a normal everyday club meeting. It's a nonprofit organization called Fight Club. Congratulations! Now start making your rules but remember, the first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club.

Malcolm X
Malcolm Little, a man born into poverty rose above the hardships and lived to produce change. Malcolm was not the perfect child, in fact he was the exact opposite. At a young age Malcolm had gotten into a life of crime and was sent to jail for stealing and fighting. It was in jail when he had discovered who he truly was thanks to a man named Muhammad. Malcolm followed the Muslim religion and received the name Malcolm X from Muhammad as a symbol of being one of the brotherhood. Malcolm had gave many speeches over the Civil Rights Movement hoping to accomplish one goal: separate the blacks and the whites. Malcolm was heading the Black Muslim party and preached about fighting back. Malcolm believed that blacks had to fight the white man so that they could gain their separation. Even though later in his life he had changed his ways of teaching and started to preach about nonviolence. Malcolm had visited a seminar that had completely changed his life. He started to learn that the truth was that blacks and whites could live in peace and harmony. He changed his ways and started speaking about the same thing Martin Luther King, Jr. had spoken about. Finally, two of the main leaders of the Civil Rights Era were agreeing on the same thing. They both wanted equal rights and hope that one day blacks and white will live together. It was because of this that the Black Power had arranged the perfect plot to assassinate one the greatest leaders during the Civil Rights Era. The stage was set, Malcolm was awaiting for the arrival of the first speaker. After an hour he had realized he was not going to show up so he decided to go on stage. It was then that the plot had set and the plan was falling through. Two men had started yelling at each other causing a distraction, it was such a big distraction that not even Malcolm X had seen the third man with a shotgun walk onto the stage. Malcolm yelled stop and put up his hand but it was to late. The man pulled the trigger and the other two men in the crowd pulled out their pistols and had unloaded on him. Malcolm X was dead. The Civil Rights Movement had taken a huge loss because of his death. The murder of Malcolm X had started an interwar between to the two black parties. It was the white man dream; seeing the blacks take each other out one by one. Until one man stepped up to the plate and led the movement in the right direction and that man was Martin Luther King, Jr. Although Malcolm had died, his words and movement led to equal rights to all races. Malcolm X born human with a powerful way with words, had died a hero.
